Uton (The Assassin) is without doubt one of our best
ever players. He scores goals, defends, scares the life out of opposition
defences and oh yes! did I tell you? he scores goals. In fact, Uton scored 36
goals last season, not bad you might say, even better when you consider that he
only played nine games for Aztec last year. This season (in a higher and better
division then ever) he has scored over thirty again (28 in the league) and he
has missed a few games too.
Give Uton a chance and he will bury the
ball in the back of the net. He is a big lad for his age but also very skilful
(maybe another Tore Andre Flo) and he has pace that would frighten Linford
Christie. We have seen Uton give boys ten to fifteen yard advantages throughout
the season and still win the ball comfortably. On one occasion, the opposition
had a county sprint champion playing for them. After he had set out for the ball
in attack Uton decided to help defend and not only made up the fifteen yard
deficit but get to the ball before the players team-mates could shout 'man on'.
This feat brought the comment from the opposition's manager of 'how the (strong
language - not advisable for families) hell did he do that?
Uton has to
be in with a chance of winning the coveted Players player of the year award this
term (I am not trying to sway the vote lads, honest). Either way, he has been
outstanding for the team in his one and a half seasons with us, and we are very
pleased to have him on board. Incidentally, he is also Kareem's (remember him
from earlier on) cousin, so we are becoming a bit of a family club too (keep
producing players like these two and we'll be willing to play the whole family).
